was held on 26 - 28 April 2006 in Shanghai, China. The theme of the meeting was "The Needs of Emerging Markets". The WWRF meeting comprised a mix of plenary and Working Group (WG) or Special Interest Group (SIG) sessions, and a number of prominent speakers presented keynote speeches.

Yaoming Sun, a researcher at IHP, presented an integrated 60 GHz transceiver front-end for OFDM in SiGe BiCMOS (900kB). The transmitter and receiver chips have been manufactured in IHP’s silicon-germanium BiCMOS technology, which is specially suited for wireless communication at high data rates.
