IHP receives Best Student Paper Award for 77 GHz
Down-conversion Mixer in SiGe BiCMOS Technology at the
       IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium,
       San Francisco, June 11-16, 2006.

The MTT-S International Microwave Symposium www.ims2006.org was held on 11 - 16 June 2006 in San Francisco. Li Wang, a Ph.D student at IHP, presented an integrated 77 GHz down-conversion mixer in SiGe BiCMOS (PDF: 170 KB). This paper was awarded as “Best Student Paper Honourable Mention” (200 KB). The chip has been manufactured in IHP’s silicon-germanium BiCMOS technology, which is especially suited for automotive radar applications and wireless communication at high data rates. Earlier this year, frequency dividers for automotive radar at 77 GHz had been presented by Li Wang at the IEEE MTT-S 6th Topical Meeting on Silicon Monolithic Integrated Circuits in RF Systems (PDF: 300 KB). This paper was also awarded as “Best Student Paper Honourable Mention” (600 KB).
