PhD defense of Grzegorz Lupina at BTU Cottbus
After three years at the Materials Research department of IHP – Microelectronics in Frankfurt (Oder), our colleague and friend Grzegorz Lupina successfully defended his PhD work at the BTU Cottbus. Using state-of-the art equipment, including non-destructive Synchrotron radiation XPS techniques at Bessy II (Berlin), he presented an outstanding study on the materials science and dielectric properties of engineered Praseodymium silicate dielectric systems on Si(001) for gate dielectric applications in future highly – scaled CMOS devices. During the course of his thesis, these results were presented on various international conferences and published in a number of refereed papers, including four articles in AIP journals. Based on these achievements, he obtained the degree “magna cum laude” for his thesis work by the committee formed by Dr. H. Rücker, Prof. Dr. D. Schmeisser, Prof. Dr. R. Krämer, Dr. H.-J. Müssig and Prof. Dr. C. Teichert.
Congratulations, Grzegorz !
