IHP achievements presented at workshop
“SiGe C HBT: Device Technology and Applications”
during European Microwave Week, Manchester, Sep. 2006.

The 36th European Microwave Week (EMW) was held on 11 - 14 September 2006 in Manchester, UK. In the framework of the EMW a workshop was organized by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Thiede, University of Paderborn, and Prof. Rolf Kraemer, IHP, entitled “SiGe C HBT: Device Technology and Applications”. It included the following presentations:

• “High Performance SoCs in SiGe Technology” by C. Scheytt and R. Kraemer,

• “High Performance SiGe BiCMOS Technology for High-Frequency Applications”
   by G. Fischer, B. Heinemann, D. Knoll, H. Rücker, and B. Tillack,

• “Radar Circuits and Components” by W. Winkler,

• “60 GHz RF-Frontend for 1 Gb/s WLAN Transceiver” by F. Herzel,

• “Ultra-High-Speed AD/DA Converters” by H. Gustat,

• “UWB-Frontend for Low Data Rate and Accurate Positioning” by G. Fischer, and

• “Scalable Low-Power High-Speed BiCMOS ECL library” by H.Gustat.

The workshop was attended by a large audience and demonstrated the latest results in the field of IHP’s Silicon-Germanium research.
