Overview >>                      RealFlex

The Objective The RealFlex project intends the integration of reliable wireless communication systems within sensor/actuator networks. The goal is to develop a sensor node, which deals with signals from several sensors and signals to actuators. The wired connection will be using the IO-Link protocol. Beyond it a wireless connection, called "Wireless IO-Link", will be developed, which is used to connect the sensors/actuators to the sensor nodes or between the sensor node(s) and the main control network. The several sensors/actuators are connected to each other via the sensor node, so this sensor-node-network will show a kind of autonomous functionality.
