Overview >>                      BASUMA - Body Area System for Ubiquitous Multimedia Applications

The Objective The cooperative project is concerned with the investigation and development of basic technologies for the platform for a “Body Area System“ and “Ubiquitous Multimedia Applications“. This platform will consist of hardware and software components, which are particularly suitable for small, low-power devices, as one needs them for devices used near the body. The capabilities of the solution will be demonstrated for medical applications.

IHP’s Contribution IHP is responsible for the project coordination, the development of the digital part of the radio module, the protocol stack below the middleware, and the manufacturing of the modules for the demonstrator.
