The research programs are realized by dint of the following project portfolio, which is regulary updated according to the content requirements as well as opportunities for co-operations and external founding. Industry and grant projects are acquired in such a manner as to serve the strategic goals of the IHP.

ADCs and DACs Designing High-speed ADCs with 10 GS/s in SiGe technology.   more

 

HOMEPLANE. Connects a unified platform for user-friendly home networking with support of quality of service, as needed for instance for transmission of HDTV-streams.   more

 

Modular Processor Library (MPL). Developing a RISC-based modular processor system for advanced mobile communication systems.   more

 

PULSERS (Pervasive Ultra-wideband Low Spectral Energy Radio System). PULSERS aims to develop UWB innovative devices starting with proofs of concept and arriving at fully working prototypes.

 

Radar Circuits for 24 GHz and 76 GHz. Developing cost-effective radar circuits with silicon-based technology.

 

RealFlex. Integration of reliable wireless communication systems within sensor/actuator networking in automation systems.   more

 

SiMS. High frequency SiGe MMICs for converter and local oscillators. Designing a local oscillator at 18.5-19 GHz with low phase noise.

UbiSec&Sens. Ubiquitous Sensing and Security in the European Homeland.   more

 

UWB (ultra wideband circuits). Designing a low-power, single-chip UWB transceiver for low to moderate data rates.

 

WIGWAM (Wireless Gigabit with Advanced Multimedia Support). Designing a complete system for communication with a maximum transmission data rate of 1 Gbps.   more
