Silicon Materials Research

The IHP consists of approximately 230 research staff, primarily in the area of wireless communications, including SiGe-based technologies, diagnostics, and materials research. We are working in a multidisciplinary environment, spanning materials, process technology, circuits, and systems. The IHP is housed in a state-of-the-art building 55 minutes from Berlin, with ultra-modern facilities. Our innovations are in worldwide demand.
We are seeking a candidate with a Masters degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Electrical Engineering for running projects in the field of Si material research for solar cell applications. The successful candidate is expected to be highly motivated with good experimental and computing skills. Experience in one or more of the following fields would be an advantage: silicon technology, solar cells, defect characterization techniques (e. g. SEM, EBIC, DLTS, PL).
This position offers excellent research facilities, a chance to pursue a PhD and a challenging, multinational environment with excellent career prospects.
The research will mainly be conducted at the IHP/BTU Joint Lab at the campus of the Brandenburg Technical University in Cottbus.
The position is to be filled as quickly as possible. Salary will be paid according to the TV-L scale.
