The Leibniz Institute IHP performs research and development primarily in the area of wireless communications, including SiGe-based technologies, diagnostics, and materials research. The institute is working in a multidisciplinary environment, spanning materials, process technology, circuits, and systems. The IHP is housed in a state-of-the-art building 55 minutes from Berlin, with ultra-modern facilities. The institute’s innovations are in worldwide demand.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work in an upcoming new field at the forefront of broadband communication systems engineering with focus on 60 GHz Wireless Communications.

The successful candidate has a diploma, master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Communication Systems Engineering. The candidate should have a solid background in signal processing, hardware design using VHDL, and software development. Furthermore, the candidate is expected to have experience with the implementation of algorithms on FPGA platforms. Good knowledge of localization techniques such as RADAR or GPS is much appreciated.
