WLAN systems with short latency for safety-critical applications

In the area of industry automation, communication can be extremely latency-​critical. We have developed system solutions, baseband processors as well as protocol (MAC) processors that support extremely low latency communications. For this application special modulation techniques such as Parallel Sequence Spread Spectrum (PSSS) are deployed. PSSS allows the parallel transmission of data to several nodes simultaneously. The developed systems can replace wired industry buses and can be deployed for closed loop control applications.
