Microwave Prize 2017 awarded to IHP scientist

The Microwave Prize 2017 of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society was awarded during IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium in Honolulu, Hawai'i.

The Microwave Prize 2017 of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society was awarded to the team in which IHP-scientist Dr. Bernd Heinemann was part of. Together with Konstantin Statnikov, Janusz Grzyb, and Ullrich R. Pfeiffer of Bergische Universität Wuppertal he worked on the joint paper “160-GHz to 1-THz Multi-Color Active Imaging With a Lens-Coupled SiGe HBT Chip-Set”, IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, Vol. 63, No. 2, February 2015.

The renowned Microwave Prize recognizes the authors in any official IEEE publication during the calendar year that is judged the most significant in the field of interest of the Microwave Theory and Techniques Society.

 

The building and the infrastructure of the IHP were funded by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union, funds of the Federal Government and also funds of the Federal State of Brandenburg.
