The IHP is an institute of the Leibniz Association and conducts research and development of silicon-based systems and ultra high-frequency circuits and technologies including new materials. It develops innovative solutions for application areas such as wireless and broadband communication, security, medical technology, industry 4.0, automotive industry, and aerospace. The IHP employs approximately 300 people. It operates a pilot line for technological developments and the preparation of high-speed circuits with 0.13/0.25 µm BiCMOS technologies, located in a 1000 m² class 1 cleanroom.

Scientist (m/f)

Microwave and Millimeter-Wave IC Design

AZ 5022/17

The position offers a unique opportunity to participate in national and international research projects in the area of high-frequency wireless integrated circuit design. The research work is focused on microwave/millimeter-wave design using leading edge SiGe BiCMOS technologies. A PhD degree can be pursued and will be encouraged.

 

The successful candidate (m/f)

  • has a master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics and
  • possesses experiences in the field of microwave/ millimeter-wave integrated circuit design,
  • is expected to be highly motivated with very good experimental and theoretical skills,
  • has very good oral and written skills in German and English.

Salary: according TV-L scale

Preferred Start: 1st of April 2017

Limitation: initially 1 year with the option of extension
