Guest Scientists

The IHP gives renowned scientists from all over the world the opportunity to work as a guest scientist. This exchange of experience forms the basis for successful collaborative projects and/or publications and helps to better the qualifications of junior scientists.

We support the international student's & graduate's exchange as partner of the following international fellowship programmes:

 

 

Alexander von Humboldt Foundation

The Humboldt Foundation enables more than 2.000 researchers from all over the world to spend time researching in Germany and maintains a network of more than 25.000 Humboldtians from all disciplines - including 48 Nobel Prize winners.

 

Leibniz - DAAD Research Fellowship

 

The Leibniz - DAAD Reasearch Fellowship programme is jointly carried out by the Leibniz Association and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Leibniz-DAAD fellowships offer highly-qualified, international postdoctoral researchers, who have recently completed their doctoral studies, the opportunity to conduct research at the Leibniz Institute of their choice in Germany. Within the scope of this scholarship, we were happy to host for a year a researcher of the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar for at our Institute from September 2015 onwards.

 

International IHP „Wolfgang Mehr“ Fellowship-Award

 

IHP´s International "Wolfgang Mehr" fellowship award is annually devoted to develop in close collaboration with IHP a new topic of research. Following the spirit of IHP´s former Scientific Director Wolfgang Mehr, the annual fellowship award is assigned to an innovative, interdisciplinary research topic with high potential for technology breakthroughs.

 

People (Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions)

 

The EU program 'People', as part of the Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions, intends, to support both the geographical and sectoral mobility between academia and industry by combining a structured education for researchers in all career stages. From August 2012 till November 2013, a fellow of this program has been working at the IHP.

 

DAAD RISE Programme

 

In 2012, for the first time the IHP supported the DAAD RISE Programme for students and graduates from natural and engineering science from North America. The DAAD supports short-term internships for North American and British students at German universities and research institutes.

The building and the infrastructure of the IHP were funded by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union, funds of the Federal Government and also funds of the Federal State of Brandenburg.
