University of Zielona Góra

Joint Lab Research Mission

The goal of the project is to improve the scientific cooperation between the Institute of Metrology, Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Zielona Góra and IHP in Frankfurt (Oder). Within this project, the focus is to systematize the technology-related activities on systems and algorithms for energy management in smart energy grids (Smart Grid). The main goal is to increase the level of cooperation between the partners and as a result to increase the scientific potential in the region.

Due to the growing share of energy production coming from renewable energy sources, the application of intelligent energy management algorithms will become a necessity. It will become crucial in order to keep the comfort levels of the energy users – the clients. Testing of energy management algorithms under reality-like circumstances is a very complex task. In the SmartGrid Plattform project, we have developed a testbed for this kind of research.

The goal of the project is to support flood protection for the citizens of Slubice and Frankfurt (Oder). This scientific project will develop a cross-border intelligent system for embankment and riverside monitoring system.

The goal of the Project is also to improve the scientific cooperation between the University of Zielona Góra and IHP in Frankfurt (Oder). Within this project, the focus is to systematize the technology-related activities on systems and algorithms for Wireless Sensor Network and Smart City solutions.

The Projects ar funded by:

The building and the infrastructure of the IHP were funded by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union, funds of the Federal Government and also funds of the Federal State of Brandenburg.
