Wireless reliable real time communication for Automation, Production and Logistics in the Industry

Objective

Scalable sensor and actuator network for industrial applications

• extremely low latency < 0.5 ms, jitter below 20 µs

• medium data rate around 20 - 50 Mbit/s

• low packet error rate < 10-9

• real-time positioning of nodes with 10 cm accuracy

• scalable network size (2-100 nodes), range (1 - 200 m), band width

Applications

• wireless network for industrial automation

• compatible with existing wired systems (Profibus, Ethercat)

• beamsteering for localization of sensor / actor nodes
