Free Silicon Conference 2025
Willkommen
Die Free Silicon Conference 2025 (FSiC) wird vom 02. bis 04. Juli 2025 (Mittwoch bis Freitag) in Frankfurt (Oder) stattfinden. Diese Veranstaltung wird auf den vergangenen FSiC-Ausgaben aufbauen. Die Konferenz wird Experten und Enthusiasten zusammenbringen, die ein vollständiges freies und Open-Source-CAD-Ökosystem für den Entwurf analoger und digitaler integrierter Schaltungen aufbauen wollen. Die Konferenz wird das gesamte Spektrum des Entwurfsprozesses abdecken, von der Systemarchitektur bis hin zu Layout und Verifikation. Nach den täglichen Vorträgen wird die Diskussion noch in einer informellen und entspannten Atmosphäre fortgesetzt.

AGBs
§ 1 Scope of application
These General Terms and Conditions regulate the contractual relationship between the participant of congresses and conferences (hereinafter: event) and the IHP GmbH headquartered at Im Technologiepark 25, D 15236 Frankfurt (Oder), represented by the managing directors Prof. Dr. Gerhard Kahmen and Nicolas Hübener (hereinafter: IHP) as the event organizer. Deviating general terms and conditions of the participant do not apply.
§ 2 Registration
The registration for participation at the event is performed online using the registration tool. The participant will receive a confirmation of participation that will contain the information provided by the participant in the course of the online registration. Errors made in the process can be indicated to IHP at any time via the e-mail-address events@ihp-microelectronics.com.
§ 3 Remuneration
(1) The participation fee can be found on the registration form. The sum stated there includes the participation in the IHP event (if applicable, including documentation, refreshments, etc.). The sum includes any statutory value added tax incurred. The price does not include the participant’s travel costs, accommodations or expenses.
(2) The payment is to be made by bank transfer or credit card. Payment with cash or checks is not possible.
(3) IHP will send the participant an invoice for remuneration upon confirming the participation. The participation is confirmed and the contract is concluded after delivery of the invoice. The costs are due within 7 days after receipt of the invoice.
(4) Should the participant be in arrears with the payment, IHP is authorized to demand interest on arrears of 5% p.a. above the basic interest rate (Art. 247 Sec. 1 BGB – German Civil Code). Should IHP prove damages incurred over and above this sum, IHP may assert these. Similarly, the participant is authorized to show that no damages were incurred or that these were substantially lower than asserted by IHP.
§ 4 Performance of the event; changes
(1) IHP is, subject to the following regulations, obligated to perform the event booked at the time, venue and with the personnel announced previously.
(2) IHP is permitted to relocate or reschedule the event, to have other speakers than those announced or to change the program. In case of a complete or partial relocation or curtailment of the event, the contract is considered to be concluded for the changed period should the participant fail to object within two weeks of the announcement. The price arranged will not be reduced.
(3) Should it not be possible to perform the event due to a force majeure or for due cause (e.g. illness of the speaker or too few participants), IHP may cancel the event and terminate the agreement. The participant will be informed of such immediately. In such a case the fees will be refunded. The participant has no claim to compensation for travel costs and accommodations or lost working time, unless such costs result from malicious intent or gross negligence on the part of IHP. Further claims on the part of the participant are excluded.
§ 5 Withdrawal; Substitute Participant
(1) A cancellation of the conference registration is possible before the beginning of the event. The following terms and conditions apply to cancellations:
a Cancellation free of charge is possible until the 18th of June 2025.
b If the registration is cancelled at a later date, the entire participation fee will be due.
(2) IHP will be happy to accept a substitute participant without additional costs after prior notification.
(3) Cancellation must be made in writing via E-mail to events@ihp-microelectronics.com.
The receipt of the cancellation at the IHP counts for the adherence to the deadlines stated above.
(4) Reimbursement of contributions is only possible via bank transfer.
(5) No donation receipts are issued by IHP.
§ 6 Liability
(1) IHP is liable only in cases of malicious intent or gross negligence on the part of IHP or its agents; this does not apply for damages resulting in death, bodily harm of health.
(2) In cases of minor negligence IHP is only liable for the violation of an obligation essential to the achievement of the contractual purpose (cardinal obligation). In such cases, liability is limited to the standard, contractual, foreseeable damages and the sum of the participant’s fees.
(3) IHP is not liable for the loss of objects brought to the events or for damages incurred when travelling to or from the venues.
§ 7 Copyrights, images
(1) The documents are protected by copyright. The documents may only be used by the participant personally and may only be copied, published or forwarded to third parties, in whole or parts, with the prior written consent of the IHP.
(2) Recording of the event, e.g. audio or video, is to be clarified in advance.
(3) IHP and the Free Silicon Foundation are authorized to produce commercial images or video recordings of, at and in connection with the event, or to have such done and to use these, in particular, for marketing purposes. In recordings in which the participant has a right to their own image, the participant provides IHP and Free Silicon Foundation with the right to use the image without restrictions to time or space and at no cost.
§ 8 Data protection
IHP will use the personal data provided within the framework of the registration only for purposes of performing the event. In this context it may be necessary to provide this data to third parties. In particular in connection with the registration and invoicing of the participation fees. Furthermore, the personal data may be stored and used for the purpose of sending information about other similar events that may be of interest for the participant. This consent may be withdrawn at any time; the withdrawal of consent is to be made via Mail to events@ihp-microelectronics.com.
§ 9 Right of Withdrawal for Consumers
If the participant is a consumer within the sense of § 13 of the German Civil Code, the following shall apply:
Cancellation Policy, Right of Withdrawal:
You have the right to revoke this contract within fourteen days without giving reasons.
The revocation period is fourteen days from the day of online registration.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform IHP GmbH via e-mail at events@ihp-microelectronics.com, with an unambiguous explanation of the decision to withdraw from this contract. In order to comply with the withdrawal period, it is sufficient that you send the notification of the exercise of the right of withdrawal prior to the expiration of the withdrawal period.
The revocation hast to be provided on the 18th of June 2025 latest. After this date IHP will start preparation and organization of the event. By acknowledging this cancellation policy, you expressly give your consent to IHP to start providing the aforementioned services before the end of the revocation period.
Consequences of the withdrawal
If you withdraw from this agreement, we shall reimburse you immediately and no later than fourteen days from the date on which we receive notice of your withdrawal from this agreement for all payments we have received from you, including delivery charges (other than additional charges arising from your choice of a method of delivery other than the cheapest standard delivery offered by us), including any additional costs incurred by you as a result of your choice of such a method of delivery. For this refund we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you. In no event will you be charged for this refund.
End of information on the right of withdrawal
§ 10 Final provisions
(1) Ancillary agreements must be made in writing to be effective. This also applies for the altering of the requirement to make agreements in writing.
(2) Should a provision of these General Terms and Conditions be ineffective or become ineffective, this will not affect the effectiveness of the remaining provisions. A regulation corresponding to, appropriate for and permissible in terms of and for the purpose of the General Terms and Conditions will replace the ineffective provision.
(3) German law will apply with the exclusion of the UN Commercial Law. To the extent permissible by law, the jurisdiction is agreed to be Frankfurt an der Oder.
