IHP GmbH is committed to the efficient and sustainable use of energy and naturally limited resources. Our aim is to continuously improve our energy performance. To this end, we use an energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001 and ensure that it is continually updated. Based on this energy policy, we set targets for improving our energy performance. To achieve these, we have appointed an energy management representative and provide the necessary resources for defining, implementing and reviewing these targets.
We comply with all relevant legal obligations and other requirements relating to energy efficiency, energy use and energy consumption, and review this compliance at regular intervals. When procuring energy-using products, equipment and services that have an impact on the company’s energy-related performance, we place great emphasis on energy efficiency.
Likewise, when designing new sites, as well as new, modified or modernized plant, facilities, systems and energy-using processes, we consider opportunities to improve energy performance.
To continuously raise our employees’ awareness of efficient energy use, we provide them with regular training on energy-related topics and communicate our energy policy and the energy targets derived from it.
We review, document and evaluate our energy policy and all associated energy management activities at regular intervals, and adapt them as necessary to changing circumstances.
