IT specialist

The IHP provides training for the professions "IT specialist for application development" and "IT specialist for system integration". As a trainee in one of these professions you will contribute to our employees being able to rely on trouble-free IT processes.

For both professions the length of training is 3 years. but can be reduced to 2½ years with excellent performance. Vocational school education will take place utilizing sandwich courses at the Oberstufenzentrum 1 Spree-Neiße in Forst.  

IT specialist for application development (m/f/d)

Application development is for people who like to invent things. You would like to master programming language and even develop your own apps? Then you are the person we are looking for!

The field of responsibility for an IT specialist for application development comprises the development and programming of customer-specific software. To accomplish this you start by analyzing demand and then develop new appropriate solutions or modify already existing IT tools. IT specialists for application development have the ability to convey complex issues and advise and train the software users.

The successful candidate will have the general qualification for university entrance or of a specialized secondary school with the eligibility to visit the senior classes of a secondary school and will also have good marks in the subjects mathematics, English and perhaps computer science. Further prerequisites are to take pleasure in logical analytical thinking, basic programming knowledge and team spirit. Perseverance and diligence are necessary when, e.g. software trouble-shooting is required.

IT specialist for system integration (m/f/d)

The IT specialist for system integration is a profession for perfectionists. You enjoy working in a precise and highly concentrated manner? You are the first person friends and family contact with their computer and software problems? Then you are the person we are looking for!

The field of responsibility for an IT specialist for system integration comprises the planning and configuration of IT systems. This involves the installation and setup of hardware components, operating systems and networks according to customer demands. IT specialists for system integration use modern diagnostic tools to eliminate malfunction and assist users in finding solutions for application problems.

The successful candidate will have the general qualification for university entrance or of a specialized secondary school with the eligibility to visit the senior classes of a secondary school and will also have good marks in the subjects mathematics, English and perhaps computer science. Further prerequisites are to take pleasure in logical analytical thinking, a precise working style and team spirit. Technical comprehension and basic knowledge of network and operating systems contribute to a smooth start in your training.
