Organization
IHP is a member of the Leibniz Association. The sole shareholder of IHP GmbH is the State of Brandenburg, represented by the Ministry of Finance. As a public research institute, IHP is funded: The basic funding is provided by the State of Brandenburg together with the Federal Republic of Germany and the the Community of States.
The research work of IHP is carried out in the closely cooperating departments Materials Research, Technology, Circuit Design and System Architectures. The six strategic fields of the IHP — High-Frequency and Broadband Communication Systems, Resilient Systems, Intelligent Edge Systems, Advanced Semiconductor Technologies, Device and Material Innovations, and Sensory Systems — are supported by the institute’s departments and core competencies.
The Institute's pilot line is operated by the Technology department. For selected research topics there are Joint Labs with national and international universities and colleges, in which IHP works together with these partners.

Quality Management System
The IHP has implemented a quality management system (QMS) for its activities in the field of silicon-based solutions for wireless communication. More information here »
