    The position:

    In-Memory computing for neuromorphic edge applications is an emerging field of research which enables to outperform conventional computational architectures in terms of speed and power efficiency. IHP’s SiGe-BiCMOS technology with the RRAM back end of line option is predistened to build neural hardware accelerator ICs. Three of such neural ICs have been designed, produced and combined on a hardware evaluation platform representing the layers of an ANN architecture.
    The goal of this project is to implement a firmware on an ARM-based microcontroller to learn and infere those three cascaded ASICs. For this, peripherals of the microcontroller have to be used to adress a state-of-the-art pulsed programming unit. The software has to enable the user to program, test and measure the complete neural network application.

    Your qualifications:

    - Bachelor's degree in the field of electrical engineering
    - Good knowledge of analog and digital circuits
    - Fundamental hands-on experience in the design and simulation of integrated circuits using CAD tools (Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre) would be desirable

    The position:

    • Support for the heads of the "Materials Research" and "Technology" departments
    • Research and preparation of funding policy information for applicants, project applications and funding bodies; if necessary, conception and organization of internal information events on research funding topics
    • Project planning based on the scope of work specified by the project manager: preparation of project calculation, project schedule, resource analysis
    • Exchange of project-related information between departments
    • Monitoring of project progress -- tracking budget, schedule, risks and other project metrics - Preparation of project reports (organizational part of the project)
    • Proactive support and guidance of applicants from the above-mentioned departments in the planning, application and implementation of externally funded research projects
    • Coordination of necessary measures and consultation with legal advisors for the implementation of cooperation and consortium agreements in national and European collaborative projects
    • Organization, implementation and participation in national and international kick-off and project meetings

    Your qualifications:

    You have relevant university or master's degree with knowledge of physics and/or electrical engineering or a related field. A doctorate will be an advantage. You are familiar with the work and organization of a research institution.
    Ideally you already have experience in science management, especially project management. We need you to be a strong team player, able to effectively plan and execute your own work, and to work in an organized manner with other creative minds. You will be ideally suited for this position if you have very good knowledge of project management and the requirements and structures of national and European research funding.
    As IHP is an international research center, it is necessary that you are fluent in English. German language skills are welcome. The improvement of German language skills is expected and strongly encouraged, e.g. through in-house language courses and intensive courses.

    Key Account Manager

    Key Account Manager (m/f/d)

    IHP Solutions GmbH is a fully owned subsidiary of IHP – Leibniz Institute for High Performance Microelectronics. IHP Solutions is responsible for the transfer of know-how and IP from IHP to industrial partners. A strong focus lies in supporting customers in using the IHP SiGe-technology to design and produce their own customer-specific ASICs at IHP’s small volume foundry.
    IHP Solutions is looking for a motivated Key Account Manager, who will establish strategic relationships and perform business with key customers and prospects mainly in the European market.

    The main responsibilities with this position are:

    • Customer Management & Sales for Foundry Services (MPW, Engineering Runs, etc.), IP Blocks, and ASICs
    • Identify key target customers and partners
    • Strategic development of business relationships with key customers
    • Lead of technology transfer and IP-development projects in close collaboration with the research teams of the IHP - Leibniz Institute and strategic partners
    • Development of market analysis, go-to-market strategies, and other related documents for selected IPs and technology platforms
    • Representing the company at tradeshows and technical conferences

    The successful candidate possesses the following skills and experience:

    • University degree in Engineering or Technical Sciences
    • Sales oriented qualification or experience in the field of applied science or research in micro-electronics
    • Significant background in relevant fields (microelectronics, semiconductor technology etc.) is required
    • Industry experience is highly beneficial - especially in semiconductor industry, foundry business, telecommunication etc.
    • Project management skills
    • Very good communication skills
    • Fluency in English and German is mandatory
