The Relocation Service of the IHP:

- supports you with the opening of bank accounts
In accordance with possible temporary applicable entry regulations due to the pandemic, we will advise you on the precautions to be taken and organize, for example, accommodation and care for domestic quarantine.
We are available to answer questions of any kind, e.g. regarding medical care and insurance. Our welcome brochure helps you with the preparations before your arrival in Germany and during the first days and weeks.
We offer weekly German lessons on site at the institute and enable you to participate in two up to three week intensive German courses.

About Frankfurt (Oder) and the region
Frankfurt (Oder) with its about 58,000 inhabitants lies directly at the German-Polish border. The European University Viadrina, one of the most international universities in Germany, is also located here, as well as The “Technologiepark Ostbrandenburg” (technology park of East Brandenburg), what makes it an important location for technology, science and education.
Frankfurt (Oder), the birth place of the famous dramatist Heinrich von Kleist, offers venues for various cultural activities.
