IHP - Leibniz Institute for High Performance Microelectronics has once again opened its doors to young talents and those interested in technology for Future Day 2025. This successful annual event, which is aimed at girls and boys from all over Brandenburg, offers the opportunity to get to know the fascinating world of microelectronics and innovative technologies.

From 8.30 a.m. to 2 p.m., 19 pupils from the region, including Frankfurt (Oder), Neuzelle, Lübben, Erkner, Beeskow, Fürstenwalde, Guben and Eisenhüttenstadt, took part in inspiring talks, workshops and a career speed dating event. They were able to talk to people from various professional groups at IHP, such as from science, administration, mechatronics, microtechnology, doctoral students and media and information services specialists.

Participants also had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the practical aspects of working at IHP in the MBE laboratory and the clean room. They were also able to put their manual skills to the test by soldering spinning tops, LED running lights and wire octahedrons.

"It was a great pleasure for us to welcome the young guests to IHP as part of the Future Day. Such formats are a valuable opportunity to generate enthusiasm for pioneering technologies and to highlight possible career paths in microelectronics," says Anna Herfurth, Head of Human Resources at IHP.
