EMPHASE

Integrated energy saving multi-processor platform for autonomous electrical driving

Objective

  • research on reliable, reconfigurable and intelligent E/E-architectures, manufacturing platforms and sensor nodes
  • research on the corresponding fault-tolerant data processing part
  • reconfigurability of the sensor as well as the corresponding data processing part
  • utilization of the same sensors for various tasks (for example near or remote field recognition) or various communication standards (Car2x, WLAN, 4G)
  • reduction of energy consumption in electric vehicles

IHP's Contribution

  • system specification and architecture of SRS components
  • design, implementation and integration of hardware platform
  • scalable radar sensor, radar-transceiver and communication module
  • integration into the demonstrator
